The Decatur County Parks and Recreation Department buildings will be closed to the public until further notice. This includes the Armory and the Decatur County Park office. Business will be conducted by email at dcpark@decaturcounty.in.gov. The Decatur County Parks and Recreation Department wants to inform the public that playgrounds, softball/baseball diamonds, basketball courts, etc are closed until further notice. While it is still acceptable to visit parks and use walking trails at this time, it is highly suggested that users follow social distancing guidelines. The Greensburg Youth Baseball League and the Decatur County Girls Softball Association have postponed their drafts until at least the first week of May.

The Decatur County Family YMCA is closed. Day camp will resume on April 6th.

The YMCA will be offering a drive thru free meals service in collaboration with Greensburg Community Schools to any child 18 and younger. Call 812-663-1302 ext 1302. Leave your name, number of students, pick up site, and phone number.

Greensburg Community Schools will remain out of school until May 1st at this time.

Rush County Schools are closed until May 1st.

The Decatur County Courthouse is closed to the public. Please call the Auditor with any questions at 812-663-2570.Decatur County Recorder Dottie Robbins reports that the recorders office will be closed for the next two weeks. They will be conducting business remotely. The best way to get in touch is through email at recorder@decaturcounty.in.gov

City Hall is closed to the public.

The Decatur County Prosecutors office is closed to the public until further notice.

Decatur County Rural Water office is closed to the public; you can call or pay your bill online.

Greensburg Decatur County Public Library is closed until April 6th.

Social Security office is closed to foot traffic. Phone and online services are still available.

Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Bass and Gasper Funeral Home, and Port Oliger Pearson Funeral Home will observe the following based on CDC directives: no public visitation, families will be responsible for inviting funeral attendees under 10 people and the funeral homes will be available by appointment to meet the needs of families and loved ones. Flowers and sympathy gifts are still accepted at the funeral homes. The local florists will fill and deliver orders.

The Decatur County Community Health Clinic will be open for appointments only. They will not accept walk-ins. Call 812-663-7707 with questions.

The Bread of Life will continue serving meals. There will be no dine-in service. Carry out and drive through service is available. Delivery routes will continue. Meals are available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Decatur County Community Foundation office will be closed until further notice.

The Decatur County Health Department has announced future immunization clinics are suspended at this time.

The Purdue Extension office is closed to the public. Please call 812-663-8388 for any needs.

The Greensburg Adult Center is closed:

  1. Greensburg Adult Center closed indefinitely, at least through April 2020
  2. Email will be checked every 24-48 hours
  3. Voice mail will be checked every 24-48 hours
  4. Emergency (can’t imagine what it would be), contact Mayor’s office, they have emergency contact information
  5. Another Newsletter should be issued on/before 20APR20
  6. Monty Shields will be in the office this week until all items on the closing check list are completed.

Meals on Wheels will be delivering meals. Meals will be delivered once a week. You must contact them if you want to receive your meals. Please contact them at 812-663-6099.

The Decatur County Historical Society will not have Saturday hours during April. Someone will be at the museum most Tuesdays and Thursdays 11am-4pm. If you have any research questions please call the museum at 812-663-2764 or email dechissoc@etczone.com instead of coming in. Adams Township Trustee office will be doing virtual appointments. They will do their best to assist clients in a timely manner.

Animal Shelter is closed. If you need to surrender a dog or would like to look at a dog, please call for an appointment 812-663-9081.

Decatur County Farmers Mutual is closed to the public until further notice. Please call with any questions.

The Greensburg Fire Department is closed to visitors.

Stradley Hagerty is closed to all non-emergent care.

Noles Family Dentistry is closed to all non-emergent care.

The Westport Town Hall has closed to prevent face to face contact. Payments can be made online at www.townofwestortindaian.com, or you either mail payment or leave in the payment box outside of Town Hall.

The public test for the primary election scheduled for Thursday March 19th has been cancelled. It has been rescheduled for Monday, April 6th at 8:15am.

Cornerstone Bakery is closed until further notice.

DCREMC office is closed to the public until further notice. REMC has suspended disconnects and penalties through the end of March and will reevaluate as the situation continues. There are a number of ways to pay your bill which include:

Napoleon State Bank lobbies are closed until further notice the drive through is still open.

Dr. Welage’s office is closed until April 9th.

Dr. Dooley’s office is open for emergent needs only.

Happy Tails Grooming and Boarding is closed.

St John Lutheran church in napoleon is closed until further notice. 

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church has cancelled services.

St. Paul Christian Church has cancelled services.

Sandcreek Baptist Church is cancelled for Sunday March 22nd.

Until further notice at St. Mary’s Catholic Church will have no public weekday or Sunday mass. Adoration Chapel is closed. No Stations of the Cross on Friday.
